and a father to two wonderful children, Jackson and Ashley. As a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, he serves as an usher and is on the Stewardship Committee. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, working out and mixing it up with old and new friends.


Leslie King


Leslie King, CGR, GMB, CAPS, president of Greymark Construction Co. and Greymark Express, received her BBA from Sam Houston State University. She has been


actively engaged in the remodeling business since 1994. Leslie is very involved in the GHBA Remodelors Council, serving on the board from 1992 to 2002, and later as the council president in 2011. She sat on the GHBA board in 2001 and was appointed Membership Committee chair in 2002. She is also passionate about HomeAid Houston, and has been on the HomeAid board of directors since 2009, chairing charity's HomeAid Care Committee as well.


Leslie has been well recognized for her work, earning two PRISM Awards, seven Lone Star Awards including Texas Remodeler of the Year, one TAB Star Award, five Houston’s Best Awards including the Grand Remodeler Award, a Big 50 Award in 2007 for Excellence in Remodeling, and has been recognized for excellence by the Better Business Bureau for the last two years.


In the community, Leslie is actively involved in Habitat for Humanity and also her church. She is an active cyclist who enjoys riding the MS 150 each spring. Leslie has two daughters, Kelly, 22, and Casey, 20.


“I am passionate about this industry. The association has helped me through many issues that have come up over the years while owning a successful remodeling business,” says Leslie. “Even when times were tough I could count on my fellow members to help guide me with solutions. I would like to give back to the association with my pledge of time and energy to keep this association strong and viable for the next generation of builders and remodelers.”


Scott Sage


Scott Sage, CGB, founded Sage Built Homes LLC, borrowing the brand name his grandfather, Andy Sage, pioneered decades earlier in Houston. Sage oversees all day to


day activities serving as the company’s president. Prior to founding Sage Built Homes, he worked with Compaq/Hewlett Packard, serving in various marketing and project management roles. Sage began his professional career in commercial lending with Frost Bank. After completing remodeling and rehab projects on the side, Sage decided to apply proven project management processes to deliver quality homes for the Houston market.


Sage is a member of the GHBA Custom Builders Council and has also earned his Certified Graduate Builder designation.


He earned a BBA in Finance and Marketing from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Rice University. He and his wife Andrea have 3 children, Hope, Wesley, and Walker. The family is involved in Second Baptist Church, where he and Andrea met a decade ago.


Lona Shipp


Lona Shipp, marketing director for Bridgeland, is a native Louisianan and a graduate of the University of Central Florida. She has been involved in marketing for more than


11 years, the last eight of which have been in the Houston homebuilding and land development industry. She has enjoyed marketing Bridgeland since development began five years ago, helping guide the master-planned community to an array of marketing awards and prestigious industry awards, including the 2011 Star Award for Developer of the Year, 2010 Community of the Year in the Silver Awards, 2009 Gold Award in The Nationals, and 2009 Houston’s Best Planned Community and Best Marketing Professional. Lona and husband David live in Cypress with their two children, Dylan, 7, and Olivia, 2. Lona has been a member of the GHBA Sales and Marketing Council since 2005 and is proud to be serving this year as SMC president.
