Meisner Acting Technique

Workshop Series

Sanford Meisner was an American actor/teacher in the 1930s and founded the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, considered one of the finest acting schools in the world. Meisner created a technique for actors that develops instincts, sharpens sensitivities, and enriches the most important tool: the imagination. Meisner work is an excellent technique for increasing an actor’s spontaneity, vital whether you work in film, television, or theater. You do not need to be an actor to take this workshop, but you must be willing to be ‘present’ in every sense of the word.
