(Open Level) Inspired by the incredible routines on So You Think You Can Dance, this class fuses dramatic contemporary dance with quirky jazz styles and uptempo pop music to create a super-fun and passionate dance experience. Both beginners and dancers with experience will be jazzed about this class—become your own favorite dancer!

Jazz II: Afro-Modern World Fusion This exhilarating class combines the compelling rhythms and boundless energy of African, Caribbean, and Latin cultural traditions with traditional jazz and modern technique. Beautiful, dynamic, and powerful, this style is totally unique.

Jazz II/III: Cabaret Spielpalast Cabaret creator and choreographer Lois Trombley leads this high-energy class, where you’ll develop style-specific technique in intricate sequences. With influences as rich and varied as rhythm-and-blues music and the swingin’ Charleston, cabaret-style jazz is classy, sassy, and fun.

Hip-Hop Fusion: Reggae/Dancehall (Open Level) A mixture of reggae/dancehall with elements of other genres— hip-hop, R& B, rock & roll, punk, Latin, and Indian music—this fusion originated in Jamaica and has taken the world by storm. The celebratory energy of clubs, dancehalls, and “Carnaval” pervades this class, so join us for the party!

Ladies of Hip-Hop (Level II) From Us Girls to FannyPack, from Salt-n-Pepa to Missy Elliott, the ladies of hip-hop have infused the form with a cheeky attitude that exemplifies a self-confident feminine force. Fun and flirty, saucy and strong, this gals-only class highlights the moves and grooves of women in hip-hop from its conception through today. Come get your sass on!

Open Marley Nights Vermont is full of dance-makers needing a place to share works-in- progress. Now the floor is yours! We’re opening the studio on the 2nd Saturday of each month for informal sharings of movement pieces being developed throughout the community. Each performance may be followed by a brief feedback session (if so desired by the presenting artist). Email openmarley@flynncenter.org for a spot on a program; all are welcome as observers or participants.
