Fantasy Ballet Through the structure of favorite fairytale plots and characters like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty—the sources of many famous classical ballets—boys and girls explore the basics of ballet and creative movement. Unlike traditional ballet instruction oriented toward uniformity, kids’ imaginations take flight when they construct their own choreography, bringing each story to life.

Musical Theater Dance In musical theater, actors sing, singers dance, and dancers act in order to “sell” a number. This class focuses on the latter, teaching fun combinations from favorite Broadway musicals every week. Students learn essential theater dance steps, and most importantly, how to move with motivation, directed energy, and style. This class is a good companion to Junior Show Choir or Show Choir (see p.8) for students working to develop movement skills. Creative Dance These lively classes channel your son or daughter’s boundless energy and active imagination into joyful motion. Group rhythmic games and improvisations help children explore dance and movement as tools for self-expression. Kids build strength, confidence, musicality, cooperation, and strong imaginations. Level B students also learn the building blocks of dance—rhythm, space, and energy— providing excellent preparation for further study in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and more.
