SHANTI O.C. THANKSGIVING FEAST Shanti Orange County asks the


community to “Eat So They Can,” as it celebrates a jazzy Thanksgiving dinner to benefit Shanti O.C.’s Home Delivered Meals Program serving the HIV/AIDS community. The event will include performances by jazz recording vocalist Moqui Lund, singer/songwriter Malia Martinez and the incomparable Soul Sisters. The dinner will include gourmet cuisine and a hosted bar, with an excit- ing live auction and raffle prizes. LAGLC 40TH ANNIVERSARY GALA Writer, actor, musician and transgender activist Chaz Bono (Dancing with


the Stars) will be honored at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center’s 40th Anniversary Gala & Auction, hosted by Leslie Jordan (The Help) and featuring Jane Lynch (Glee). A trailblazer in transgender activism, Bono has publicly shared his experience transitioning to male in the documentary Becoming Chaz. Since 1995, he has been a dedicated activist in the LGBT community, having served as a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign Fund and Entertainment Media Director for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). As was previously announced, Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and his partner, actor and Chef David Burtka, are to be honored at the gala. One of the premier events for the LGBT community of Los Angeles, the gala begins with a chic cocktail reception and large silent auction at 6 p.m. Dinner and fabulous entertainment follows at 8 p.m. Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center’s 40th Anniversary Gala & Auction takes place onSaturday, November 12 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, located at 404 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles.
