ollywood’s most talented will gather at the Hollywood Palladium to celebrate Trevor LIVE, the annual show benefitting The Trevor Project on Sunday, December 4. The event occurs every year on the first Sunday in
December in Los Angeles and the last Monday in June in New York. Each year The Trevor Project, the leading crisis intervention and sui-
cide prevention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, brings together top talent to celebrate and honor leaders and role models for LGBTQ young people. In prior years this high-profile event has honored actors and comedians including Kathy Griffin, Neil Patrick Harris and Vanessa Williams and corporate trailblazers such as Levi Strauss & Co., Wells Fargo Bank and CNN for their support of The Trevor Project’s mission. “If you’re passionate and really believe in the work of the Trevor Proj-
ect, this is a great evening to gather and celebrate our mission. We deal with crisis and suicide prevention every day of the year. This is a posi- tive, uplifting and life-affirming evening celebrating the important work that we do,” CEO and Executive Director David McFarland, said. One corporation and one individual are selected each year as
honorees for their work in the LGBT community. As of Rage’s publica- tion date an individual had not yet been announced. This year Trevor LIVE will honor Google for its commitment to LGBT equality. Google has partnered with the Trevor Project over the past year and has been instrumental in helping to create safe spaces for LGBT youth with online protocols and they actively promote diversity within their own workforce. Most visibly, Google teamed up with The Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project for a Google Chrome commercial that focused on LGBT youth and bullying.
