With Christmas fast approaching, it's a hectic time of year and many of us will be receiving online and catalogue orders for xmas presents. I have been contacted by the Royal Mail, Trading Standards and Phonepay Plus, the UK regulator for premium rate phoneservices, to promote awareness of postal scams which may be circulating in the next fews months.
Many scams are sent in the form of a postal
delivery card through your letterbox. They contain a contact telephone number which is often a premium rate number and charges massive fees. If you receive a delivery card which you do
not believe is genuine, you can contact Phonepay Plus on 0800 500 212 for further guidance or visit the website -
