They have got Matthew Kelly’s brother, Robin Kelly, as host, and a set very similar to the original television show. Matthew Kelly himself is making a video contribution, and even their mother has helped out. She has dug out videos of the original series, so Robin can tell stories and anecdotes between acts. Each participant has recorded a video which will be shown before they come on, giving clues as to who they are going to be, and then will come through the iconic doors as their singer. The fun


services. Jacky and Larissa Webb are both involved with Bob Hope Theatre, and have also received assistance from Carers. They were keen to do something to fundraise. The idea of this fundraiser was to put on a production that would appeal to all age groups and musical tastes, and they came up with Stars in their Eyes. Jacky, who helps run the costume department at Bob Hope, has been making and sourcing authentic looking clothes for six months. And they

four distinct shows to watch. Starting on Thursday, 13th October. Celebrity acts include Dusty Springfi eld, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Stevie Wonder, Connie Francis, Suggs, Tom Jones and Olivia Newton John.


Friday night is 60s to 00s. Celebrities include Elkie Brookes, Elton John, Eva Cassidy, Bryan Adams, Tony Hadley, Dolly Parton, Freddie Mercury, Lulu, Cee Lo Green, and one more special celebrity.


The matinee on Saturday has a more classic theme. Icons include Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Bobby Darin, Frankie Valli, Katherine Jenkins, Barbra Streisand, Cab Calloway, Patsy Cline and Barry Manilow.


Saturday night is current contemporary artists. Katy Perry, Lily Allen, Michael Buble, Anastasia, Ricky Martin, Billy Joel, Robbie Williams, Adele, Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon and another exceptional celebrity.


It is always a delight to see the wealth of local talent we are blessed with. I know I want to see all the shows, and what a truly fabulous way to raise funds for a local cause.
