September 2011 A LETTER

Hello Upbeat Times, I wanted to write with my sin- cere thanks for publishing the article about The Coast Pilots and our school music fund- raising project! A full page! Wow! Our hope is that this will inspire other musicians in Northern California to do some positive work with their local schools! I have posted a link to your website and the article on our Facebook, myspace, reverbnation, and our twitter feed (29,000+ fans) Keep up the great work with your paper! And stay positive!

The Earth’s shape could be described as an oblate spheroid. It’s kind of like a sphere, but the Earth’s rota- tion causes the equator to bulge out . What this means is that the measurement from pole to pole is about 43 km less than the diameter of Earth across the equator.
