The historic city of Xian is foremost recognised as home to one of the most famous archaeological wonders, the Terracotta Warriors. Marvel at the 8,000 life-size soldiers in battle formation, crafted by hand, each one unique. Climb the seven stories of the impressive Big Wild Goose Pagoda and enjoy a colourful Tang Dynasty show, bringing this era back to life through song and dance.

Visit the ancient water town of Wuzhen, a maze of canals linked by a series of bridges and pretty waterside houses. Continue on to Suzhou for its elegant classical gardens and temples.


Day 1 Fly from Xian to Hangzhou. Afternoon visit to the West Lake. Stay two nights at Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou with a full day trip to the water town of Wuzhen


Day 3 Take the bullet train to Suzhou. Stay two nights at Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou Day 4 Visit Humble Administrators Garden. Then enjoy an afternoon canal cruise Day 5 Morning sightseeing, then take the bullet train to Shanghai to rejoin your tour

Day 1 Fly from Shanghai to Guilin. Spend the afternoon visiting the Reed Flute Caves and Elephant Trunk Hill. Stay two nights at Sheraton Guilin


Day 2 Cruise up the Li River to the village of Yangshou to shop at the local markets


Day 3 Enjoy a morning walk around Banyan Tree Lake and Fobo Hill before flying back to Beijing or Shanghai to rejoin your tour
