India

Few places are so extravagantly rich in experiences that delight the senses as India. This vast and unique land abounds with extraordinary colours, sights and sounds that will inject adventure and excitement into every day.

The sheer diversity of this country adds to your discovery with climate, landscapes and customs varying greatly between North and South India.

In the north, you can take yourself back to the days of the Raj as you explore ancient forts, ornate palaces and fabulous temples that are constant reminders of the pride, grandeur and rich history of this beguiling country. India’s capital Delhi, Agra and Jaipur make up the Golden Triangle, home to cultural treasures, bustling markets and world renowned monuments including one of the world’s most revered – the Taj Mahal. The romantic city of Udaipur is a possible add on to this enriching journey with its tranquil Aravalli Hills and beautiful Lake Pichola. Tigers roam across the wilderness in Ranthambore, one of the few places in the world where you can see these predators in the wild. Further north you’ll reach the beautiful forests and foothills of the Himalayas, alternatively head to the west coast where you’ll find the vibrant city of Mumbai and sun drenched beaches of Goa.

The slower, relaxed and more exotic side of India can be discovered in the south in the beautiful region of Kerala, famed for its palm fringed backwaters and lush tropical forests. Visit bird sanctuaries, scenic hill stations and cruise its many lakes and rivers on a traditional rice boat. Rest and relaxation is key so be sure to indulge in an Ayurvedic massage, the ancient Indian science which originated here.
