JOHN HEGLEY - COMEDY
THE ADVENTURES OF MONSIEUR ROBINET Fri 8th July @ 8pm. John Hegley, poet, comedian and musician, performs in this one man show with tales about a Frenchman’s unusual [but clean] habits, which include burying his dog’s kennel and his own luggage pieces. The stories appear alongside other new works, which include an address to aliens on the subject of transport, a poem about a non-talking parrot and some animal impersonations with the aid of a handkerchief.
JOHN HEGLEY - ANIMAL John Hegley
ALPHABOAT Sat 9th July @ 2pm John Hegley returns in, “Animal Alphaboat”, with an interactive show for families. The poet’s unique approach to poetry, dance and song are all present in this show for children and adults. John Hegley enchants children and adults with his poetic genius and silliness.
In a steadfast and impenetrable formula of poetry and song delivered alongside
the antics of a delightfully rubbery elastic individual, John humorously uses his earlier experience as a teacher, to control any wayward activity.
The poet Adrian Mitchell said of him: ‘Just because he is one of the funniest men alive, do not underestimate his dedicated gentleness.’
ALI COOK – MAGICIAN Fri 15th July @ 8pm Expect Ali Cook to astound you with a 1 hour awe- inspiring magic and offbeat comedy show. Forget what you think you know about comedy magicians - Ali is edgy, intelligent, self-referential, caustically hilarious and one of the most sought-after illusionists on the planet. Most famous for his Channel 4 series Dirty Tricks, his sell-out show Pieces
