Pumps that get out and about!

Last year Grundfos Pumps launched a fleet of taxis in London and Manchester. The vehicles, which are bright green and white, are being used as part of the “Ask for ALPHA2” campaign. The taxi

campaign will be running until May 2012, the aim being to promote green pump

technology and make homeowners and professionals more aware.

The Grundfos ALPHA2, launched over two years ago, is energy A rated pump and is the only pump to have the unique function of AUTOADAPT which not only makes the pump easier to install but also means that the pump will also run at optimum efficiency by automatically adjusting to meet demand. AUTOADAPT automatically delivers perfect comfort at the lowest possible energy level Developed and patented by Grundfos, the AUTOADAPT function ensures the optimum combination of performance and energy consumption. All you need to do is plug it in. The unique Grundfos electronics take care of everything else. The AUTOADAPT setting continually finds the setting where optimal comfort meets minimal energy consumption.

There’s no compromise. You get both maximum comfort and maximum efficiency.

For more than 80 per cent of all end users, the Grundfos AUTOADAPT function will meet all their requirements. A simple, intuitive one-touch button makes selecting other settings quick and easy. Look out for these taxis next time you are out and about in London or Manchester, and be sure to ask the driver if you would like to know more about the campaign.
