Our amazing impact

oing their DofE has a life-changing impact on young people, whatever their background and personal circumstances. That was the key finding of the independent Impact Research supported by the Pears Foundation. The research also concluded that young people starting from a background of disadvantage gained the most from the amazing experience the DofE offered them.

D

Armed with this conclusive evidence we were delighted to share the detail of the research and our exciting plans for the future with senior local authority representatives and other supporters at a series of events across the UK. In this Annual Review we share with you the excitement of young people achieving more than they ever thought

possible, the delight of adult volunteers at having inspired them, releasing their amazing potential and our pride at having enabled it all to happen.

Our achievements have inspired us to be more ambitious and to set ourselves some challenging goals. Our starting point is the understanding that, if the DofE is good for the 275,000 young people taking part today, then it is good for all the others not yet able to access DofE opportunities. We are passionate about inspiring the next generation and creating a brighter future for them and their communities.

I hope you too feel inspired to get involved, support our work and create a brighter future.
