Taking the plunge – the DofE can enhance self-confidence. How we spend this

As a Charity we invest heavily in: - Supporting our 400+ partners. From development workers who help them set up and run groups, to the resources and tools they need to run DofE programmes.

- Reaching out to the young people who need us the most, who are facing disadvantage (over 30,000). We are committed to ensuring cost is never a barrier to participation.

- Supporting our volunteers through resources, training, advice and guidance. They are essential to the DofE and young people. Their commitment and dedication is invaluable.

- Developing our infrastructure, especially eDofE and our website, to improve the quality of experience and to allow us to support many more young people in the future. Last year alone our national helpline took over 200 enquiries a week, 48,844 people used our website to enquire about taking part or volunteering and our website had over 850,000 unique visitors who viewed over eight million pages.

- Supporting young people throughout their DofE journey and celebrating their achievements with national Gold Award presentations. - We do this with just 100 staff.
