central Oklahoma, a few miles east of Billings, Turtle Rock Farm, is a retreat center for sustainability, spirituality and healing on a centennial family farm. Sisters Ann McFerron and Pat Hoerth grew up on the farm and returned as adults to offer guests the opportunity to connect with nature on a deep and intimate level. “In our busy, often urban lives, we lose touch with our natural home and feel disconnected. And because you can’t care about what you don’t know, we aren’t taking very good care of this planet,” says McFerron. “So often we hear our guests say, ‘I had forgotten how easily I can get cen-

tered when I’m in nature’,” says Hoerth. “And when we care about the natural world, we want to take care of it. Individuals and groups can choose from the variety of retreat programs

available at Turtle Rock Farms. In addition, they are welcome to provide their own programming or Hoerth and McFerron can design customized retreats based on the specific needs of attendees. With ECO certification from the Oklahoma Tourism Department and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Turtle Rock Farm offers an idyllic setting for individuals to learn about sustainable practices.
