Etix Expands Live Event
Marketing Capabilities with Acquisition of Rockhouse Partners
Etix has announced that it has
acquired Rockhouse Partners, a Nashville-based entertain- ment-focused digital marketing agency. The move will pro- vide Etix’s ticketing platform clients with access to the Rockhouse proprietary technology products and turn-key services—ticket marketing programs, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, event life cycle management, and action-focused reporting and analytics. "Given the rapid pace at which technology is evolving, it’s
becoming increasingly complicated for clients to manage and measure digital marketing in-house,” said Travis Jano- vich, CEO of Etix. “While marketing support from traditional ticketing companies is drying up, ours continues to expand in a direction that reflects the real needs our clients. The acquisition of Rockhouse, combined with Etix's existing products, will provide our clients with the tools they need to sell more tickets and give them a leg up in an increasingly- competitive entertainment market.” Etix will continue to utilize Rockhouse’s marketing agency
services, which provides digital marketing, brand activation, and sponsorship brokerage and measurement for clients such as Lance Armstrong & the RadioShack Pro Cycling Team, Nashville Predators, and Thomas Nelson Live Events. Rockhouse client experience also includes Lollapa- looza, Churchill Downs, Ryman Auditorium, Delaware State Fair, and The Orange Peel, among others. “We started Rockhouse with a vision for fundamentally
changing the way that entertainment properties and brands engage and activate fans,” stated Joe Kustelski, Co- Founder of Rockhouse Partners. “This move allows us to build on that vision with our shared clients and partners, and to capitalize on the many opportunities available in an industry that appears to be in a state of perpetual flux.” For more information, visit

PM Productions Produces Two Unique Attractions
P.M. Productions Entertainment, owned by Robert and
Christy Mullen are excited about the upcoming Fair season, and working with the Florida Fairs. The Mullen’s are pro- ducers of two unique attractions, “The Amazing Rainforest Experience,” and “Pets Overboard.” “The Amazing Rainfor- est Experience” includes both a show as well as the large exhibit area. The show, which is narrated by a performer on horseback, includes tigers, monkeys, parrots, and many other amazing animals. The exhibit area is open through- out the day, and is a large Rainforest themed area with ani- mals that are not normally seen including the very endan- gered Asian Fishing Cat. “Pets Overboard” is a pirate themed production starring dogs and trained house cats all of which have been rescued from animal shelters. This show is presented on a unique multi level stage with lots of energy and action. Both of our shows will see several big changes this season.
dogs, and a whole new segment has been added to the show. “Mr. Biggs,” one of our new dogs who is a little five pound Chihuahua, accidentally gets “shot” across the stage to safely have his understudy appear on the other side of our stage. New pyrotechnic effects have also been added to the show for this year as well. “Pets Overboard” contin- ues to be a big hit with local animal shelters. At many Fairs, we have been working with local shelters during the Fair which has increased local adoptions. The “Amazing Rainforest Experience” will see the biggest
change throughout this season. The show, the Amazing Animal Adventure, has brand new scenery, new script and music that will debut at the 2011 Collier County Fair this March. The new set is larger, with moving scenery parts. The new show arena is now covered with a shade roofing system. The Rainforest Experience exhibit will also have a new look with new tents, and several new animal exhibits that have been added. The biggest change comes on line this July: a large 30 feet by 60 feet walk in aviary. This new interactive exhibit area will feature several species of lori- keets as well as other birds. Fairgoers will have the oppor- tunity to feed these free flight birds while visiting the exhibit. The aviary is fully landscaped and will feature several large water features. For those that had a chance to see last year’s new little baby white tiger at the Charlotte County Fair in 2010, he is not a baby any more. He is now a gor- geous 200 pound tiger, and will play a starring role in the new show. Our shows can be booked separately, however we do
have multiple show discounts as well as a discount to members of the Florida Federation of Fair and Festivals. We are looking forward to a great season and working with the Florida Fairs!
