IAFE Spring Management Meeting April 15—18


This year’s Spring Management Conference will be in


Louisville, KY. The IAFE invites everyone to come join us for one of Louisville's signature events and the kick off to the Kentucky Derby Festival – Thunder Over Louisville. Attendees will have a front row seat for "Thunder" at the brand new KFC Yum! Center Arena. "Thunder" includes a spectacular air & fireworks show. Rated one of the top 100 events in North America, "Thunder" features the latest in pyrotechnic power from Zambelli International.


Sunday's program will include: a tour of the facilities man-


aged by the Kentucky State Fair Board, a tour of Churchill Downs and cocktails and dinner at the renovated Kentucky Derby Museum.


The 2011 CFE class will be presented. 2011 Committees will meet.


Zone II Meeting to be held in Conjunction with Florida Federation of Fairs Annual Convention

Greetings to members of the Florida Federation of Fairs


and Livestock Shows! It’s been a busy time since we’ve seen each other in Las


Vegas at the IAFE Convention! Travels have taken me to the Virginia Association of Fairs Convention in Hot Springs, VA, the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals in Charleston, WV, and the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs Convention in Hershey, PA! Next, it’s on to the Zone II Meeting in May (May 18-21), being held in con- junction with the Florida Federation of Fairs and Livestock Convention in St. Augustine, FL! Our zone is so excited to be a part of this conference in

Your associa- tion’s Executive Director Lisa Hinton and Convention Pro- gram Chair Happy Norris have done a phenomenal job in pulling together many timely topics related to our industry. The IAFE’s Fair Management Institute is also offering a seminar on Information and Technology. Make sure to sign up for this seminar if you’re enrolled in the institute.
