and we enjoy every minute with her, she changes every day.

horses. My parents imported and sold Arabian horses for 20+ years and at the same time my dad has run cattle for most of his life. My mom rode in the Oakland Hills and learned to jump horses from Bill Nissen. Matt’s grandparents raised racing appaloosas in the Fresno area. SB: Favorite food? LA: We both love Mexican and Sushi. We especially love Mikuni’s in Sacramento!! Our customers joke that we should write a book that includes all the best restaurants near the major horse shows since we have scouted out and eaten at all of them. SB: Favorite music. LA: Matt is the music person in the family. He listens to everything from Merle Haggard to 50 Cent. And it is not unheard of to find him singing along at the top of his lungs to David Allan Coe. SB: Something we don't know about you but would find interesting? Something you find REALLY REALLY fun and/or funny! LA: When I was little I first rode western. My dad would take me to gather cows with him because my pony and I were the only ones that could get to the cows that were hiding under the oak trees. For Matt, he has a BS degree in Animal Science and is

working on a project to build a business that sells organic meats. SB: Any other hobbies? What do you do with your spare time? LA: Before Addi was born we took up snow skiing, but with her addition to our family we haven’t been able to go since 2009. Now we spend our spare time hanging out with her. But Matt also likes to play golf with Buddy Brown and they have a great time together. SB: Friends here. LA: This is a tough question and I guess I am opting to not get specific…what if we forget people and offend?? We are fortunate enough to have so many wonderful friends that work in our industry, we are close to so many people we see and travel on the circuit with as well as amazing families we call our best friends. SB: Goals and what’s in the future for you? LA: Matt is working towards getting his young horse into the Grand Prix’s and I am currently looking for a new young horse to develop myself. We are always working towards developing our business and continuing to promote the horse sport in Northern California. Matt plans on spending a few weeks this year Learner

course designing and I, Lindsay, am starting the process of getting my judges card. Both goals are time consuming but we believe it will be beneficial to our business as well as our future in the sport.
