Heart-Shaped Lollipop Flowers

Ever wonder what it takes to bring cartoon characters to life? Find out at the fully interactive exhibit, Animation, featuring Cartoon Network. Learn how art, math and science come together to create superheroes, virtual worlds, and spectacular special effects. Who knew science could be this much fun?

Supplies: • Scrapbook paper, construction paper or cardstock in pinks, reds and greens

• Scissors • Glue • Lollipops • Black Marker • Optional: Ribbon

Instructions: 1. Cut heart shapes out of paper. We found that a 3” heart was big enough.

2. Stack hearts and punch a hole about 1/4” from the bot- tom of the heart.

3. Glue hearts together with a small amount of glue. We used a glue stick and that worked best.

4. Cut a leaf shape, write a message or child’s name on the leaf and glue it to back of one of the petals.

5. Put lollipop

through the holes in the center of the hearts.

6. Optional: tie curl- ing ribbon around stem of lollipop to make it even more festive.
