Good for gifts or for a Classroom Party Activity! Suggested Ingredients:
Be creative, any dried fruit, nuts, seeds or candies will work for this recipe. I prefer few sweets and more fruits and nuts.
• 1 c of miniature pretzel sticks or pretzel twist • 1 c of any flavored cheerios
• 1 c of butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips • 1 c of cheese flavored crackers or goldfish • 1 c of any little chocolate candies or miniature m&m’s • 1 c of dried fruit like raisins, apricots or cranberries • 1 c of peanuts or cashews (or any other nuts or seeds)

* A note of caution. If you are making this as a gift or a classroom activity, please be aware of food allergies. Many schools are now nut-free. Try sunflower or pumpkin seeds instead, or skip nuts altogether.
Makes 14 servings. Serving size is 1/2 cup. Instructions:
If you are making this at home, pour each ingredient into a large bowl and mix well. To make a cute gift, scoop about one cupful into a small glass jar or clear plastic gift bag. Print the ingredients on a cute tag or piece of cardstock and tie to package with ribbon.
To make the trail mix in the classroom, place each ingredient into a separate bowl. Create an assembly line of bowls and spoons. Give each child a plastic Ziploc bag. Allow them to create their own special blend by adding a few spoonfuls of their favorite ingredients to their bag.
