PROTECT YOURSELF FROM SEASONAL FLU FOR FREE- AT YOUR LOCAL PHARMACY

Keeping fit and well this winter is easier than ever &#x2013; and won&#x2019;t cost people in Greenwich a penny if they are eligible for free seasonal flu vaccination with the NHS.

As well as costing nothing, having the jab only takes a few minutes, and it will protect the most vulnerable in Greenwich from catching the flu until next winter.

Those who are eligible are people over 65, pregnant women, those who care for someone else, and anyone who has a serious long-term condition such as a heart problem or breathing difficulties.

Pharmacies in Eltham offing the service: Two from the Mangal Group Wells of Well Hall at 59 Well Hall Road. Biacoll Chemists at 146 Well Hall Road, and Day Lewis Chemist at 13 Newmarket Green.

Alka Rikhi, Pharmacist at Biacoll said "It's easy to get a flu jab from Mangal pharmacy. We're open from 8.30am to 7pm weekdays and from 9am to 5.30pm on Saturdays and appointments are not necessary. So don't risk catching seasonal and swine flu this winter. Prevention is much better than cure".

Many people find going to their local pharmacy easier and more convenient than waiting for an appointment at their GP surgery, and they can have their vaccination while they wait for a prescription, or while they are stocking up on items for their medicine cabinet.

Pharmacies also offer fast, friendly and expert health advice for a number of winter complaints, including coughs, colds, sore throats and chest infections; all without needing to make an appointment.
