Grade 7-12 Social Studies: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 4 of 4) Social Studies teachers will focus on the demands in understanding historical text, primary documents, timelines, graphs, analysis of data and other content-related materials. Writing will be central to instructional strategies for the classroom. Topics of conversation will include National Core ELA Standards as they relate to Social Studies, development of text sets, differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and formative assessments. The elements of Project Based Learning will be instrumental in this offering. As a Learning Community, participants will be expected to attend all sessions.

Teachers of Dyslexic Learners: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 4 of 4) The participants in the learning community should be those individuals who are providing Orton-Gillingham based intervention for students who are struggling with dyslexia. These people will have the opportunity to gather, learn and collaborate with colleagues who work with the same population.
