Grades 3 & 4 ELA: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 2 of 4) Third and fourth grade teachers will engage in opportunities to analyze student work in order to determine instructional strategies that incorporate best practice in reading, writing, and thinking. Teachers will receive a copy of "Study Driven: A Framework for Planning Units of Study in the Writing Workshop" by Katie Wood Ray. Teachers work will address such topics as Common Core Standards, Formative Assessments, and how to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse student populations in today's classrooms. As a Learning Community, participants are expected to attend all sessions.
