Distance Learning Courses - (COSER 420) Many Western and Central New York BOCES schools and colleges offer hundreds of courses that are available to take or teach "real time" via videoconferencing technology.
Virtual Field Trips and Collaborative Connections - (COSER 420) Virtual field trips and collaborations to deliver content and heighten students’ motivation, memory retention, communication and presentation skills. These global connections prepare students for their role in a 21st Century global society.
On-line Courses - (COSER 420) offers a differentiated approach to online learning to meet the individual needs of students. The online learning solution provides the potential to open new doors without the constraints of time and distance and bring the outside world to students. CA BOCES can assist districts in identifying the appropriate solution for student learning and designing an implementation plan. The employment of a full-time on-line course mentor working with guidance counselors, teachers and students is an important part of student retention and success.
