Grade K Science Kit Training Teachers will learn how to incorporate the Insects Kit, Sunshine and Shadows Kit, and Classroom Plants Kit into their classroom curriculum. A unit overview of each kit will be given, and teachers will gain hands-on experience using each kit.

Grade 9-12 ELA: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 1 of 4) High School ELA teachers will engage in opportunities in order to best prepare students for the demands of career and college. Teachers will address such topics as the Common Core Standards and student work analysis in reading and writing. 21st Century skills will be central to our conversations, as well as the importance of improving critical thinking in our students. As a Learning Community, participants will be expected to attend all sessions.

Step Up to Writing - An Intensive Refresher Step Up to Writing is a collection of effective, multisensory writing strategies for teachers K‐12 that improve: • Student Writing • Reading Comprehension • Listening Skills • Speaking Skills. This half-day refresher is designed for teachers who have had previous training in Step Up to Writing. We will overview informal outlines, color coding, paper folds, reading comprehension and classroom implementation strategies.
