Grade 6 Science Kit Training Teachers will learn how to incorporate the Rocketry Kit, Density Kit (6th Grade Section), and Incubation and Embryology Kit into their classroom curriculum. A unit overview of each kit will be given, and teachers will gain hands-on experience using each kit.

Grade 7-12 Social Studies: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 1 of 4) Social Studies teachers will focus on the demands in understanding historical text, primary documents, timelines, graphs, analysis of data and other content-related materials. Writing will be central to instructional strategies for the classroom. Topics of conversation will include National Core ELA Standards as they relate to Social Studies, development of text sets, differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and formative assessments. The elements of Project Based Learning will be instrumental in this offering. As a Learning Community, participants will be expected to attend all sessions.
