Curriculum Based Measures for Mathematics Grades 3 and 4 Response to Intervention requires all teachers, K-4, to monitor the progress of their struggling students with curriculum-based measures. These math probes were designed by CA BOCES math specialists and are aligned to the Common Core State Standards by performance indicator. Each participant will leave with a set of CBM’s and tools and strategies necessary for progress monitoring. In addition, you will also learn how to use the best strategies from Singapore Math to strengthen your math instruction. A sprinkle of hands-on activities and formative assessment ideas will round out this day of learning! Join our collaborative learning community for math educators!

Grades 3 & 4 ELA: Collaborative Learning Community (Part 1 of 4) Third and fourth grade teachers will engage in opportunities to analyze student work in order to determine instructional strategies that incorporate best practice in reading, writing, and thinking. Teachers will receive a copy of "Study Driven: A Framework for Planning Units of Study in the Writing Workshop" by Katie Wood Ray. Teachers work will address such topics as Common Core Standards, Formative Assessments, and how to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse student populations in today's classrooms. As a Learning Community, participants are expected to attend all sessions.
