National Yoga Month Activities
September is National Yoga Month. Deepen and expand your practice by attending some of the workshops, free classes and special events being offered by local yoga centers and studios.
The Florida Yoga Institute – Yoga workshops: Perfecting your Backbend; Going Upside-Down: Arm Balances 101; Meditation and Forgiveness 101: Loving Those We Don’t, and Why We Should.
Joyful Yoga – A 7-Day Challenge: Stu- dents who practice seven days in a row are entered in a drawing to win free yoga classes for six months.
Bala Vinyasa Yoga – In collaboration with Yoga Aid, the studio will host 108 Sun Salutations at 2 p.m., September 18, that will benefit the African Yoga Project.
Health & Harmony Center – Two free chair yoga classes to introduce a system that makes yoga available to those with physical disabilities. Classes are from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., September 2, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., September 6.
