J

oin with others in calling for nonvio- lence and a global ceasefire to all hos-

tilities while dancing, laughing, hooping, conversing and more. The free annual Peace Day in the Park will provide such a forum from noon to 5 p.m., September 19 (two days before the third annual In- ternational Day of Peace), at Jaycee Park, in Cape Coral. Local vendors will offer soothing

massages, feng shui instruction, intuitive readings, pet communications, artworks and food. In addition to strolling and visiting the many booths, listening to expert speakers and enjoying live music, attendees can also lounge on the grass along the Caloosahatchee River. Guests are encouraged to bring

canned and dry foods for the community. Event organizer Zachari VanDyne hopes to collect more than last year’s total of 600 pounds.
