When it comes to fishing and RVing, you can never have too much of a good thing, so we’re delighted to bring you the second in our two-part list of the best fishing and RVing spots in B.C.
6) Sheridan Lake: One of the larger lakes on the “fishing highway” of the Southern Cariboo (Highway 24), Sheridan Lake supports a healthy population of massive stocked rainbow trout that reach in excess of 6 kg. Numerous RV parks cater to travelling anglers in this area, which includes Loon Bay Resort with 50 sites and a lakefront RV park from May 15 through October 15. Sheridan Lake Resort has a total of 92 sitesand can accommodate 40’ RV’s.
7) Dragon Lake: Located close to downtown Quesnel, Dragon Lake is one of B.C.'s premier rainbow trout lakes. It is a productive water body that allows the stocked rainbow trout to reach sizes in excess of 4 kg. It is a veritable fly fishing/ RVing Mecca! Nearby Robert’s Roost RV Park and Campground has lakeshore campsites with full hook-ups, recreational facilities and laundry.
8) Quesnel Lake is a big lake with even bigger fishing opportunities for rainbow trout and bull trout. This pristine lake, which happens to be one of the deepest fjord lakes in the world, offers excellent trolling, casting and fly fishing,
