ComputerTOOLS VoIP

Due to the excellent way in which computer networks were designed, they can transmit any type of data over them. This means that you can send documents, video (see my article on webcams in the last issue) and audio; In particular, telephone conversations. If you and a friend,

colleague or family member want to talk to each other for 24 hours of the day, every day of the year, you can do, for free! Assuming you both have a broadband internet connection, microphone and loudspeaker, you can download a piece of software that will connect your computers and let you have a conversation. Because the conversation flows over the internet connection that is already paid for, there is no additional cost. If you want to speak to

someone who is not connected to the online VOIP system, you can still use your VOIP software to call them. The system will route your call over the ‘regular’ telephone system, but usually at a vastly reduced rate. For example, call a mobile phone in Australia from your desktop PC for just 13p per minute. Call an Australian landline for under 2p per minute. A regular telephone call from your BT landline would be over 20p to an Australian landline. There are sometimes

downsides to using VOIP. Call quality, echoing and delays can cause problems. There is no 999 emergency number as such and, as BT isn’t providing the call, you can’t complain to them if something goes wrong.

The SISIS AER-AID System injects air directly into the root zone, speeding up the aeration process and delivering the benefits of reduced compaction and healthier growth faster than conventional aerators. Infiltration rates can be improved almost instantly. Surface disturbance is minimal.

The SISIS AER-AID moves air uniformly throughout the root zone for complete aeration of the entire area - not just where the tines have penetrated.

Aim for whole aeration! For details or to book a demonstration, please contact
