Although Mr and Mrs Swinscoe, from Melton Mowbray planned to swim themselves, they had the fun that an outdoor family pool would bring to their children and grandchildren very much in mind as well.

room and with natural windbreaks – so they gave the go-ahead.


Safety was the most important aspect of the brief to build the swimming pool and Mr and Mrs Swinscoe had a very stringent budget for Asher Swimpool Centre, from Grantham in Lincolnshire, to work to.


Mrs Swinscoe said: “We decided that having a pool in our garden was an ideal opportunity to bring the family together to enjoy some fun activity, and to use it ourselves for exercise.


hen one couple decided to build a swimming pool in their Leicestershire garden they had two priorities – first safety and then cost.


“One of our close friends has a pool and we saw how her garden began to be used a lot more; we wanted to do the same and make the most of our garden, so we decided an outdoor pool was the ideal improvement. “We had a budget which we had to be strict with and Asher Swimpool Centre worked to this. They recommended we have a liner pool with a heat pump that would cut down the running costs for us.” Claire Asher from Asher Swimpool Centre explains: “Liner pools are an ideal solution for customers who want a pool at an affordable price. This type of pool is much less expensive and quicker to build than a conventional concrete pool.


“They also give the opportunity for the liner to


be replaced very easily in years to come, which allows for a complete new look, just like wallpapering a room in a house!” In order to meet Mr and Mrs Swinscoe’s safety
