This data is submitted by each force to HMIC and can be found in the force profiles which have been reproduced at the rear of this document

We have added the Police Officer to staff and PCSO ratios to illustrate how many people are engaged within each force and in total.

What is particularly striking, is the growth of the police staff numbers, to the point where they represent over half of the total workforce.

This data will become even more relevant when we introduce the salaries and costings associated with these roles over the coming pages.

The panel below shows an example extract from the force review pages, reflecting how the data was captured for this report. The profiles of all 43 forces are included at the Rear of this document.
