has struck an alliance with Energyflo Construction Technologies to develop the ‘Dynamic Breathing Building’ concept. Compared to conventional building practices it could significantly save energy, cut carbon emissions, improve air quality, and result in long-term cost savings for homeowners. Energyflo created the cutting-edge insulation system known as the ‘Energyflo Cell’, and joined forces with timber frame experts at Lomond to devise a way of incorporating it into ‘open panel’ timber frame. Both companies believe this innovative system will make a real difference to the housebuilding industry.

The Eco-Eye Mini, from Megaman, is a compact electricity monitor which helps you track and improve electrical energy consumption. This easy-to-fit ‘wireless’ instrument keeps an eye on the total amount of electricity coming into the property, constantly displaying information in a user-friendly way. It can be installed in minutes – simply clip the wireless sensor on to the mains cable feeding the electricity meter (no electrician required), put the remote energy monitor somewhere you can easily see it and watch as it counts up the power you are using in real time.
