E10 Solar Combi at Grand Designs Live London
The Electric Heating Company’s E10 Solar Combi will be featured in an eco-house at Grand Designs Live London 2010. The E10 Solar Combi is based on EHC’s highly successful Fusion E10 Combination Unit and has been developed to include a solar pump station and an unvented solar hot water cylinder. The solar unit helps improve the SAP rating of a property as it reduces the carbon emission profile. It is the ideal heating solution for properties with no access to mains gas, or those with gas restrictions. It can be used for both conventional wet central heating and underfloor heating installations. Depending on location, the E10 Solar Combi with a south facing solar panel can supply up to 70% of the annual domestic hot water required for a two or three bedroom property.

EHC will be exhibiting at Ecobuild 2010. The exhibition at Earls Court (2-4 March 2010) attracts nearly 35,000 visitors. The current EHC range includes electric boilers, electric radiators, instantaneous and stored hot water products, electric combination units and towel rails. EHC will be showcasing at Ecobuild 2010 their latest addition to the existing portfolio of products. Director Bill Walters says: “Electric heating is becoming a far more important element in the UK’s heating mix. It offers a fully controllable, reliable and energy efficient solution and usually produces significant cost savings. As such, Ecobuild is the ideal place to exhibit and generate leads. It is an effective way for us to meet key decision makers and show them the complete range of EHC products and the solutions we offer.”
Digi-Line Brings New Levels of Comfort & Control
New Digi-Line electric heating system from Electrorad brings new levels of comfort & control. The key to energy efficiency and economy in heating systems is controllability. Each Digi-Line electric radiator, from Electrorad, has an integral digital thermostat capable of maintaining a set room temperature within +/- 0.1°C. Optionally, the system can be centrally controlled by radio frequency whereby the system programming is done on PC using the supplied software and the settings sent to a USB hub / transmitter. The USB hub can then be disconnected from the PC and will continue to send the signals to the system. Each room can be set to a different temperature and operating time if required. The software also includes ‘smart metering’ which enables the user to see exactly how much energy each radiator has been using and at what cost.
