Manufactured from FF109 fully intumescent mineral fibre, Firecap from Aico can be fitted over a downlight in seconds, with no need for screws, drilling or additional sealants. Installation company Solid State has completed another prestigious cinema project, at Newbury's new Vue cinema. A wealth of life safety equipment, including a fire alarm system, was installed in record time. Key elements of the fire alarm system, including aspiration units, door retainers and beam detectors, are powered by a range of 24 V, 3 A power supplies manufactured by C-Tec. One of C-Tec's highly versatile and cost-effective four-zone NC944 call controllers has also been installed to provide the cinema's washrooms with alarm facilities which can be used to call for emergency assistance.
