A LEVEL
Talented students hoping to pursue an AS programme
dominated by Art/Performing Arts options, and anyone
keen to do a BND in Art or Performing Arts, may be
ADMISSION POLICY
accepted without the stipulated average GCSE score or
number of passes if their abilities in their chosen area are
notably high. These abilities are assessed via auditions in
the case of Music and the Performing Arts and through
portfolios of work in the case of Art.
Special consideration
We understand that some students may have particular
personal circumstances which should be taken into
account. If you feel that your performance at school
may be affected by factors outside of your control
and/or you have special reasons for wishing to take a
subject for which you do not have the required average
GCSE score you may ask for special consideration. All
requests for special consideration must be made as soon
as possible and will be reviewed by a committee of senior
staff. This committee will meet whenever necessary
throughout the interview and enrolment process.
A full list of the other qualifications which we recognise is
available on request from the college.
