Adventure Aquarium and Currents
Ballroom is planning the renovation of
its South building 4D theater pre-show
area into a 3,200 square foot ancillary
event space. Highlights will include
additional stunning views of the
Philadelphia skyline to complement the
nearby Rotunda sightlines, as well as
access to a private terrace area for pri-
vate dining or cocktails.
This space is being designed to play
host to both corporate and social
clients as an additional seating or bar
area, or even as a separate event
space unto itself for smaller cocktail
receptions. Clients will be able to con-
tinue to enjoy the wonders of the sea
using this space, visiting the many
unique and interactive exhibits in the
Creature Lab located directly upstairs.
Currents Ballroom at Adventure
Aquariumoffersgroupsevenmoreflex-
ibility, with three separate rooms for
meetings and seminars or one large
ballroom space. Here, groups can
enjoy Shark Realm views, Philadelphia
skyline and Ben Franklin Bridge views
set against a backdrop that is far differ-
ent than a standard meeting space. In
addition, Adventure Aquarium's
exhibits offer an "ice breaker" or scav-
enger hunt opportunity for corporate
groups.
The aloft Mount Laurel, NJ is a brand
new hotel that opened this past
October. The lobby area offers live
entertainment on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday. Guestroomsaredesignedin
a loft type style. The hotel also offers a
pooltableinitslobby,aswellasabusi-
ness center, indoor swimming pool,
state-of-the-art fitness center, and
12,000 square feet of event space with
customized overhead lighting and
complimentary audio-visual supplies.
Having opened in May of 2008, the
Westin Mount Laurel is the first full-
service luxury hotel built in the area in
over two decades. It offers a conven-
ient location - just eight miles from
downtown Philadelphia - plus many
new and inventive offerings. Among its
