He continues, “The team at Waterfront
Place Hotel focuses on understanding
and anticipating individual guest needs.
By anticipating needs in advance, guests
receive personalized service that makes
them feel ‘at home’.”
Matthew Knol, general manager for the
Golden Plough Inn at Peddler’s Village,
also describes the importance of service
at his facility, which offers amenities that
include free parking, shopping at 65
shops onsite, varied dining options in
four full-service restaurants, plus the
available use of outdoor spaces and a
family entertainment center.
“We have a flexibility and responsiveness
that larger facilities can’t always provide,”
says Knol. And while the inn is proud to
be a boutique facility, they note that this
classification does not imply inflated
pricing. “Our rates are very competitive
with flagged, limited service properties.
We believe the difference between bou-
tique and standard chain is in design and
personalized service,and not necessarily
price-based.”
It is this personalized attention that
makes the Golden Plough Inn perfect for
group meetings and events.“We offer the
ability to resolve problems and to meet
guests’ changing and last minute needs,”
adds Knol. “Also we have a greater variety
of enhancements and options that help
to make their meetings memorable.”
Groups such as pharmaceuticals and
high-tech companies have been a great
fit at the Golden Plough Inn, and Knol
notes that team building and product
rollouts are often held here,as well.
