Letter from the
heart
To step off the path of what is expected and follow the calling of your heart and
forge your own way is my personal definition of authenticity. To others the path
you have chosen may look to be a rocky terrain filled with hairpin turns and steep
drop-offs. When living from your authentic self - your core- all you can see ahead
is a spectacular view of amazing possibility – and what a view it is!
Aspire’s transformation to digital publishing and the launch of our global “Mission
to Inspire 100,000 Women” initiative welcomes you to my personal journey as I
commit to the calling of my heart and move Aspire in the direction that resonates
with my core.
Throughout the pages of the “Live an Authentic Life” issue you will find the
wisdom, inspiration, tips and tools to support you along your journey. May each
article touch, inspire, empower and transform you as you walk your path to
authenticity.
As Mariel shared her thoughts on healthy living with me her passion was palpable – and it is clear that she is living
from her core. On page 18 she shares how she begins each day in authenticity and she shares a excerpt from her
new book Mariel’s Kitchen: Simple Ingredients for a Delicious and Satisfying Life.
In his article on page 40 entitled Be Yourself, Every One Else is Taken, Mike Robbins shares “Personal authenticity is
not about proving anything to anyone; it’s about being ourselves from our core.”
