Nursing & Care
Open Day at Harcombe Manor
On 27th March an Open Afternoon was held at Harecombe Manor to celebrate
20 years ownership of the home by Alex & Evelyn Ollivier.
The day dawned bright but unpredictable, with sunshine and blue skies
alternating with overcast skies and showers.
However, the rain kept away during the afternoon and several visitors ventured
outside to see the wonderful views over the garden and rooftops to the South
Downs beyond. Most visitors took the warmer option and just looked out of
the windows!
We were very pleased that
the Mayor of Crowborough,
Philip Fermor, joined us and
he seemed delighted when,
after a talk which included
anecdotes about his personal
knowledge of the home, he
was presented with a fruit
hamper.
Alex Ollivier gave a short,
but well appreciated, speech
about his time at the home
and gave special thanks to all his staff. He and his wife, Evelyn, were given
a large basket of flowers, together with a card that had been signed by all
members of staff and residents.
About 100 people came to enjoy the buffet and look round and several seemed
