What’s new in 2009?
• A new professional floristry competition. The new competition, in
association with the British Florist Association, will culminate in the
announcement of the ‘Chelsea Florist of the Year’ and the ‘Young
Chelsea Florist of the Year’.
• In 2009 exhibitors in the Great Pavilion will be “Celebrating British
Horticulture”. This special initiative means visitors to the show will
easily be able to identify British plants and British nurseries. Exhibitors
supporting the celebration will highlight plant material that has been
grown in the UK for a full season, so shoppers will know when they
are buying British.
The Exhibitors
• There are around 600 exhibitors at the show, including Show Gardens,
Urban Gardens, Courtyard Gardens, floral exhibitors, floristry displays,
educational displays, and garden product exhibitors.
