Ben, what’s your reason for being at the show today?
I am here on behalf of a company called ‘Coolaphone’, we are
encouraging people to find their old discarded mobile phones. They
can then go onto the Coolaphone website and trade in the phones for
cash, the handsets will then be recycled and all the data will be taken off
of them correctly which in the past has been a reason why some people
don’t do it. Something like fifteen million phones are hanging around
in peoples homes and in these times when people are looking for a little
extra cash it’s a good way to get a bit more money in.
You have achieved so much since you came into the public eye, is
there anything left that you would really like to do?
There is a lot of things that I would still like to do, I have been very
lucky and travelled in all sorts of adventures and races. There is not
enough time in our lives to do everything but I don’t have a list of things
that I want to tick off, it’s more things that come around naturally, it’s
almost an organic way of going about things. If something turns up that
sounds rights and it’s a good time for me to do it then I would probably
do it. I suppose one of the things would be to sail around the world
which I would love to do. I am not sure I have the patience, the skill or
the time for it but I would like to do it.
You have said in the past that you would like to take a year out and
live in America, is that something that you still want to do?
Yes, it is genuinely something I would consider doing, I have spent a
bit of time out in California for various T.V. projects over the years and
I love it out there. Both the lifestyle and the climate. I am conscious
that I have been married for a few years now and frequently have
to leave my wife to go onto trips. So I think we would both love to
go on an adventure together. Contrary to what most people think an
adventure doesn’t have to be something physical or a hardship, it can
be something fun.
Would you like to have children?
Yes I would love to have children some day.
