Martha Jo Edwards Holbert Massengill, 97, Terrell, died June 1. She was born Sept. 21, 1918, to Turner and Kate Lee (Felkner) Edwards of Terrell. She was saluta- torian for Kaufman High School in 1936 and graduated from North Texas State University with a double degree in business and education. She married Joe L. Holbert on June 7, 1941. They owned and operated Holbert’s Fresher Foods in Terrell and raised 2 daughters, Pam Holbert Small of Austin, and LeeAnn Holbert Hutchison of Terrell. She was later married to Fred I. Massengill and Dr. James F. Graham, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters and numerous other relatives. Nancy Morgan Runnells, Houston, died May 29. She was born Feb. 24, 1930, in Evanston, Ill., to Truman


and Jean (Silsby) Morgan, and spent her childhood in Illinois and New York. She attended Pine Manor Col- lege in Chestnut Hill, Mass., and moved to Houston in 1960. She married Clive Runnells in 1967, and together


they raised her 6 children and her 3 stepchildren. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clive Runnells and her children, Amy Goodrich; Jeff Firestone; Calvin Garwood; and John Garwood; Helen Runnells DuBois; Clive Runnells III; and Anne Conner; and numerous other relatives. June 11 in Longmont, Colo. He was born Aug. 23, 1917, to Lester Runnion and Velma Cooper Runnion, on a grain farm in Van Wert County, Ohio. Runnion spent his lifetime working with beef breed publications and leading purebred beef cattle producers. His portrait was added to the Saddle and Sirloin Club in 1988. He is survived by his wife June and his children, stepchildren and numerous other relatives.
