10 destinations in the Post Office Travel Money’s 2016 Holiday Money Report, being rated as the lowest-priced of 32 long-haul destinations surveyed and the third cheapest destination overall. Even the most blow-out expensive gourmet


meals, wines, tours and transfers – even by helicopter – are surprisingly affordable, by global standards. According to Rebecca Turner, senior product manager for Simply Luxury by Travel 2, such a favourable exchange rate is having a big impact on sales. “It’s so affordable that UK travellers can stay


in the best hotels, hire private guides and dine like kings – the quality of food and wine in Cape Town is world class,” says Turner.
