I’ve been with Thomson Bedford for only four weeks, and already

feel it’s a fantastic company to work for. I’ve always wanted to work in the travel industry and was thrilled when I got the opportunity. I love making people’s dream holidays come true and giving that extra-special service to all my customers.”

VERDICT

All of the agents were eager and worked hard to find suitable options, but the winner’s recommendation best met my request.

price of £2,586 for both of us. This was an ideal match. The agent also upgraded the room to include a swim-up pool. I

was impressed by the service given by this agent, who was a trainee and who wrote down my needs and conferred with her manager. Although my enquiry was not followed up and I thought the inside of the shop was unattractive,

overall this was an excellent experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the store to friends and family.

Thomas Cook BEDFORD ROAD

I was not acknowledged for two

minutes, but the agent was friendly and enthusiastic. I was offered a half-board stay at the Lindos Memories hotel in Rhodes, flying with Thomas Cook Airlines, for £1,822. I didn’t feel this property met my requirements; it seemed Cook did not have the

products to fulfil them. I wasn’t asked my budget either. However the agent did point out optional extras.

Co-operative Travel HARPUR STREET

I was acknowledged immediately by a friendly, enthusiastic and very patient agent. I was quoted £2,753 for a B&B stay at the Petit Palace in Santorini, flying with easyJet. The agent made a good effort to research boat-trip

options but didn’t seem able to find out what was available. The consultant’s

knowledge of the destination appeared limited. I left feeling I would have to go home and research the resort online.
