I firmly believe that Terminal 2 is the new benchmark for airport terminals.
I love being in the airport environment, seeing different types of people coming and going for very different reasons. It is a truly unique place and a mini city in its own right. I enjoy seeing our flight depart on-time with every customer and their bags on-board and I appreciate the teamwork from a multitude of partners that makes this happen, 365 days a year.
My role as airport manager means that I am accountable for the Air New Zealand operation at Heathrow. This involves working with all our service providers to ensure we offer a world-class level of uniquely Kiwi customer service.
With all but one Star carrier currently operating from T2 we have enjoyed having our Star Alliance partners all under one roof. It has helped us to build relationships and in the future it will allow us to collaborate together to make improvements.
From the moment our customers enter the building they are greeted with a visually stunning terminal that competes with the very best in the world, and they love it. They’ve told me they like the light, airy check-in area with self-service options and the baggage hall which is spacious and efficient.
And they always comment on the shopping of course; Harrods, Burberry, Gucci – what more could you ask for?
