Tucan Travel has added more than 100 group tours to its 2016-17 Genuine Worldwide Adventures and Budget Expeditions brochures.
Among the new itineraries in
the worldwide range are Peru in Comfort, Mexico to Guatemala Flyer, Istanbul to Athens, Costa Rica & Panama Flyer and Best of Myanmar. Africa has been reintroduced
to the budget brochure, which is aimed at 18 to 35-year-olds. All of the Africa overland tours in the Worldwide brochure are also new. Tucan’s overland tours previously featured camping accommodation only, but hotel options have been added. The operator has launched
a range of adventure tours in southeast Asia following increased demand for Vietnam and Cambodia. Three tours in Burma include the 21-day Best of Myanmar. Starting at £2,079, highlights include a train
through the Shan Hills, a cruise on the Thanlwin River and kayaking through paddy fields. Chief executive Matt Gannan said:
“We have spent the past few months taking a look at what our clients want and found we could make many changes to improve their trips of a lifetime. Our new products have been created as a result of the success of a series of new group tours launched this time last year.” Tucan has created a web page summarising all the new tours in each region. To mark the brochures’ launch,

WATER SIGN: Luxury Cornish holiday park Gwel an Mor is extending its partnership with Hoseasons. The deal means the Portreath-based park’s lodges will now be promoted exclusively to Hoseasons customers as part of the self-catering specialist’s Evermore Lodge Holidays Collection. Gwel an Mor offers 58 two-storey Scandinavian lodges, as well as single-storey New Residence lodges – 20 of which will be bookable via Hoseasons from October. Signing the deal are Hoseasons property and portfolio director Mark Warnes (left) and Glen an Mor managing director Bill Haslam, who said: “As Hoseasons goes on all the time about how important hot tubs are for bookings, I would sign the deal only if the parks director signed it in a hot tub.”
