New canned motor pumps
motor pumps from the Ecochem Non-Seal range designed to transport hazardous, aggressive, flammable and explosive fluids. The pumps are also capable of handling toxic and extremely hot or cold media as well as volatile or valuable liquids. This new type series combines KSB’s MegaCPK – a standardised chemical pump successfully employed for years in process engineering – with ground- breaking canned motors built by Japanese cooperation partner Nikkiso. The pumps’ dimensions comply with ISO 2858 and meet the requirements of the DIN/EN/ISO 15783 and API 685 standards, with economic operation being ensured via a new energy- optimised electric motor design. The low-noise motor features a corrosion-resistant can made of Hastelloy (2.4610).

lobally recognised workwear brand Dickies proved a huge hit at Donington Park, as the Somerset-based brand started their
new MCE British Superbike Championship campaign. Dickies, who is the associate sponsor of the new Be Wiser Kawasaki team, had a presence all over Donington Park. Along with the new team, Dickies had a mobile showroom in the trade area, along with a Dickies Paddock shop. It was an exciting weekend for Dickies, who launched the new Be Wiser Kawasaki team clothing; that was sold from the Dickies mobile showroom. Dickies has announced that the new team merchandise, which includes riders’ Chris Walker and Danny Buchan clothing, can be purchased every UK based MCE British Superbike round, or alternatively, fans can buy it online at Dickies Store. UK Worker of the Year is now in its sixth year, with Dickies again setting out to recognise and reward hard workers in the UK. With their involvement with the new team, Dickies have offered this year’s winner the luxurious choice between a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and a dream £5,000 holiday.

Kite Packaging launch new products for the building and construction industry Rubble sacks and FIBC bags are hugely popular in the sector
K
ite Packaging, the UK’s leading packaging supplier, has launched a range of bags to benefit the building, construction and landscaping industry. The first product in the range, FIBC bags, are made
from woven polypropylene and can be loaded with up to 1 tonne of product. Most suited to dry, free- flowing products, they have strong lifting handles to be used with a crane or forklift. FIBC Bags are essential for builders, construction workers and landscapers, as they provide the superior strength and tear resistance of a rigid container, but are much easier to transport. Mostly used for storage, the bags can also make a great replacement for skips to collect building rubbish. Kite has also launched a range of Rubble Sacks for a similar marketplace, as part of their aim to offer the building industry a ‘one-stop shop’ for packaging products. The new sacks come in three different colours, and are all manufactured from 125 micron thick material. Providing incredible burst resistance against sharp and bulky items, rubble sacks are often used on building sites or during landscaping jobs to collect heavy waste products such as broken bricks, timber, and plaster. What’s more, the bags from Kite are made from recycled material so that they are less harmful to the environment, and have been competitively sourced – prices start at just 12.5p a sack! The company hope that this will open up their prospective customer base, and now have a well-rounded offering for the construction industry which will only continue to grow.
